Kurtz Lawn Care was founded in the early 1980s by Daryl Kurtz, the owner, and offered several services including mowing, landscape pruning, landscape mulching, and snow removal.
Over time additional services were offered including lawn fertilizing and weed control. Bulk mulch, topsoil, and portable buildings also became available for purchase at the retail lot.
In 2007, Travis Kurtz, the eldest son, joined full-time to help manage and expand the business. While being involved in the business, he had the idea to offer a couple of additional services for the off-season months including new landscaping design and new landscape installation, landscaping walls, pavers, along with tree pruning and removal.
